Overview

What does Qorrect do?

Qorrect does two things for your contacts. It converts Greek names written in Latin letters — Greeklish — into proper Greek with the correct accents, and it standardises phone numbers to the right international calling code. Every change is shown to you and applied only with a tap.

Important notes
  • Greek-name conversion recognises real Greek names and leaves foreign names and company names untouched. You can convert a name back to Greeklish at any time.
  • Qorrect only changes the name and phone-number fields you approve — never any other contact information — and creates an automatic backup before applying changes.
  • Phone formatting adds the correct international prefix only to numbers that are missing one; you can remove all prefixes to revert to local format.
  • Every modification is tracked, so you can restore previous states or revert individual contacts from the change log at any time.
  • For the Greek-name feature, only first and last names are sent (over an encrypted connection) for transliteration — no phone numbers, emails, or identifiers — and nothing is stored.

Guide

Eight steps. Done.

  1. Open the Qorrect app on your iOS device
  2. Go to Settings › Country Settings to configure which countries you want to enable
  3. Return to the main screen
  4. Toggle "Process all contacts" on if you want to update existing numbers, or off if you only want to process contacts without international prefixes
  5. Tap "Process Contacts" to begin
  6. Review any name issues detected and use the appropriate icons to resolve them
  7. Wait for the process to complete
  8. You'll see a success notification with the number of processed contacts

A number saved in local form (for example 07700 900123) has no country prefix, so when you travel or your SIM roams, your phone can't reliably route the call — and apps like iMessage and WhatsApp match contacts by their full international number. International dialling needs the +<country code> form. Qorrect adds the correct prefix to every number that's missing one, so your whole address book works from anywhere.
Qorrect leaves them alone. It only adds a prefix to numbers that don't already start with a country code, so running it is safe and won't double-prefix a number that's already in international (+) format.
